Andy Shaw Comedy

Comedy about fatherhood, pop culture, and noticing the little things.

As a new dad and vegan, Andy Shaw is your Facebook news feed's worst nightmare. But he'll also crack you up on stage with his observational humor and quick wit, coming from years of improvisational and stand up comedy experience. Always ready with a tie & glasses, Andy embarrasses himself with tales of his nerdy childhood that includes him being traded multiple times in Little League because he was horrible.

Performed at Magooby's (Timonium MD), Harrisburg Comedy Zone, Stitches Comedy Club (Lancaster), and more bars, lodges, and fundraisers than you can count because counting is hard and math is silly.

I'm regularly featured with Earl David Reed (HBO, "Tonight Show"), including opening for him during filming at Penn State-York Pullo Center show in York in 2013, which was an amazing time, especially since it was the last show before my son was born, also known as "B.C." or "Before Child-Kept-Me-Up-Every-Night-But-Is-Also-Adorable."

Very witty (and) clean. A newcomer and yet very funny.

Improv:

You never know what's going to happen in improv. Here, I'm at Appalachian Brewing Company making things up.

I'm the co-director of The Oxymorons improv troupe, which has been around since 2010, and has since grown into one of the most recognizable, well-traveled troupes in the entire region. We were named the funniest act at the SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival 2014 by LehighValleyLive.com, and have been regulars on the festival circuit.

College crowds are probably my favorite with the troupe, as we've performed for Penn State branch campuses, state universities, private colleges and more.

Training: Improv workshop training at Second City, Philly, NYC, Washington, D.C., Harrisburg, and Baltimore.

Each time I attend a comedy show Andy and the rest of the Oxymorons have me bursting at the seams.
